Request access lets you control exactly who can open a Pod. Anyone who opens the link but isn’t already allowed in has to ask for access first, and you approve or deny them. If someone forwards your link, it no longer gives a stranger a way in — instead, you get told that a new person wants access.
Turning it on
Open your Pod and go to Share › Advanced options › Access control. Set Enter email to view to Request access.
What happens next
Anyone already viewing the Pod keeps their access.
People from your own company are let in automatically.
A new visitor confirms their email address, and that sends you an “Access requested” notification — in the app, by email, and in Slack or Teams if you’ve connected them.
You approve or deny the request from the People tab. When you approve someone, they get an email with a link that takes them straight into the Pod.
Good to know
This is being switched on gradually, workspace by workspace. If you don’t see the option yet, it’s on its way — reach out to support if you’d like an update.
Request access replaces whitelisted domains. When you turn it on, any existing domain whitelist on the Pod is cleared, and only your own company’s domain gets in without approval.
Denying is silent. The person isn’t told they were denied, and they can ask again after 24 hours.
If your pod is originally set to "Email only" access and you changed it into "Request access", anybody who's in the pod already will have access automatically.
