Setting up the HubSpot integration

Setting up the HubSpot integration is a quick and easy process and is done once for your whole account. It requires an admin to setup the integration so ensure you have the right permissions!

Step One:

Step Two:
Click "Connect" to be redirected to HubSpot to approve the connection.

Step Three:

Review the scopes

Step Four:

Select the account you wish to connect to trumpet

Congratulations, the HubSpot integration has been established!

Configuring the HubSpot integration

There are a number of ways to configure the HubSpot integration so you can get the most out of it. To access the settings for the integration, head back to https://trumpet.app/integrations and click on the Cog icon on the HubSpot card as circled in the image below

On the next page, you will see an area to manage fields as well as a list of settings to choose from.

Manage Fields

By default, trumpet can pull through Contact, Deal and Company information to populate the Pods with:

  • Contact Name

  • Company URL

  • Company Name

  • Deal Name

  • Deal Value

This area of the settings page will allow you to select extra fields that you want to pull from HubSpot to populate your Pods as custom variables

Other Settings

New deals create new Pods

- When you create a new deal in HubSpot, it triggers a webhook that creates a new Pod in trumpet. You can choose which template you want to auto create a Pod from.

Sync deal title with Pod

- Keep the deal titles between HubSpot and trumpet in sync

Sync deal value with Pod

- When the value in HubSpot changes, it also updates the value of trumpet Pods.

Sync Pod value with deal

- When the value in trumpet changes, it also updates the value of the HubSpot deal

Sync deal stage with Pod

- When you change the stage of your HubSpot deal to closed won or closed lost, this also gets reflected in trumpet

Create activity as note

- Also adds trumpet activity synced to HubSpot as a note as well as the custom trumpet activity

Sync buying roles

- When buying roles change in trumpet, we update the revelant HubSpot contact with the new role

Disconnecting the HubSpot integration

In trumpet, disconnecting the HubSpot integration is as easy as clicking Disconnect on the HubSpot integration card in https://trumpet.app/integrations

It is also possible to disconnect from HubSpot too, you can find a guide on how to do this here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/connect-apps-to-hubspot#uninstall-an-app

Disconnecting the HubSpot integration means trumpet will no longer send any activity from trumpet Pods to your HubSpot deals. trumpet will not delete any of your data in HubSpot on disconnection so you will still have access to the previous history of activity that have happened in your Pods.
