There are two ways to collect the email addresses of the users viewing your pod.
These are;
'Email only'
'Verified email'
You may want to enable these if you are putting your pods into the wild, as a way to generate leads and/or provide insights into who is accessing your pods.
The process for enabling this email capture sits at a pods level.
To do this, navigate to the edit screen of the pod that you want to password protect.
Then click the share icon in the top right of the screen. That opens up a the share modal where you can click 'Advanced Options' to bring up your share settings.
Then choose between, 'Email Only ' or 'Verified email'
'Email only' - selecting this prompts a message to the pod viewer asking them to enter their email before entering (note - they do not have to authenticate or enter a valid email to get access).
'Verified email' - selecting this prompts a message to the pod viewer asking them to enter their email, it then sends an email to that address for the viewer to click through and validate their email is correct before getting access to the pod.
'Require Email' has less friction and barriers around entry -
However, 'Email Verification' ensures you are only getting valid emails (with more steps to enter) - The choice is yours!
