The easiest way to add text to a Pod is via the 'Plain Text' widget.

This is contained in the widget panel in the edit Pod screen.

Although called the Plain Text widget, it is far from plain and allows you to edit the text with various formatting options contained in the text bar at the top of the Pod.

Highlighting individual sections of text will allow you to change the formatting of just the highlighted text.

Please note - by the time you read this I may have won an internal battle and the widget may be renamed to the much more suitable/beautiful/fitting 'Text'.
