Annotating within a Pod allows you to draw the attention of your viewer/viewers and pinpoint a specific section or area of the Pod. This is particularly useful if you want them to watch a new demo video, outline the next steps in the mutual action plan or signpost the answer to a question they have asked.

Watch the video here on how to use the annotate function within a Pod:

Alternatively, you can read the guide below.

To annotate in a Pod - firstly you need to open the Pod in live mode, you can access Live mode from the Pod editor or the live link to the Pod.

At the top right of the Live version of the Pod, you will see the comments bar and a couple of icons. Select the annotation icon that looks like this:

When Annotation Mode has been selected you will see that dashed outline boxes will appear as you scroll over sections of the Pod, you can simply select one of these areas that you would like to annotate or you can click and drag to select your own area of the Pod to annotate.

Once you have selected the area you can then type a comment to your viewer/viewers and draw their attention to the annotation.

The annotation and comment will appear in the comments section and when you hover over the selected area.

Whilst typing a comment you can mention a viewer so that they receive a notification of the annotation and comment, you can send across an attached file, record a voice note, video or screen record.

It is also worth noting that the annotations can be assigned to viewers, the status can be changed from Open to In Progress or Resolved and you can even share the link to the annotation.
