Introducing Locked Templates and Pods with Multiple Editors

At trumpet, we’re all about making collaboration seamless while keeping your brand messaging consistent and secure. Introducing locked templates and pods, with multiple editors —a feature designed to give teams greater control, flexibility and efficiency when working together.

What Are Locked Templates?

Locked templates ensure consistent branding, messaging, and structure across your team's pods. With the ability to “lock” you can:

• Prevent accidental edits

• Maintain a cohesive look and feel across all customer-facing materials

• Empower your team to personalise within the boundaries of your brand guideline

Multiple Editors

Previously, managing locked templates fell on a single owner. Now, we’re giving teams the ability to assign multiple editors to a locked template OR pod. This change improves:

Collaboration: Share the responsibility of updating and managing templates across your team.

Efficiency: No more waiting for a single template owner to make edits - empowered teams mean faster updates

Continuity: If one editor is unavailable, another editor can step in, ensuring seamless template management.

Admins Have the Final Say

In addition to assigning multiple owners, we’ve added another layer of control for team admins. Admins can now override locked templates or pods, even if they were locked by individual users (non-admins).

This gives admins the ability to:

• Ensure alignment with updated brand guidelines or compliance requirements.

• Resolve situations where locked templates need immediate updates or corrections.

• Maintain top-level oversight of all templates and pods for consistency.

How It Works

1. Assigning Multiple Editors:

When creating or editing a locked template, simply add additional editors under the Permissions settings. These editors must be in the same team as you.

2. Admins Override Locks:

Admins have full permissions to unlock or edit any template or pod as needed, regardless of its current locked status or owner.

3. Collaborative Editing:

All designated editors will have access to adjust templates while still respecting locked elements and admins can step in if necessary.

With Locked templates and pods, multiple editors and admin overrides, teamwork just got a whole lot easier. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
