Follow the step-by-step guide below to set up Salesforce Custom Fields within your template:

  1. Accessing Salesforce Integration Settings

    • Go to the integrations tab.

    • Find the Salesforce integration and click on the settings cog.

    • Select the option to manage fields.

2. Selecting fields in Salesforce

  • Fields are separated by Opportunity, Account and Contact.

  • Ensure the variable you want to add to your Pod is from the correct Salesforce object.

3. Choosing a Field to Sync

  • Example: Selecting "postal code" from the company section.

  • Verify that the "postal code" field has populated information in Salesforce.

4. Creating a Custom Field

  • Create the field (e.g., postal code)

  • Double-check which Salesforce object (Opportunity, Account or Contact) you are using to create this variable.

5. Implementing the Custom Field in Templates

  • Edit a template where you want to use the custom field.

  • Add the field variable (e.g., postal code) to the template.

7. Viewing Synced Field in Proposal Document

  • Check the proposal document in the pod to see the synced field (e.g., postal code) pulled from Salesforce.

  • The information is automatically populated as a variable, saving time and manual data entry.
