In this guide, we’ll show you how to add a button to your Klaviyo emails that links directly to your quiz results page.
Step 1: Add a Button to Your Klaviyo Email
Drag and drop a Button element directly into the desired section of your email template, and write any custom text for it (e.g., “Explore your results page”).
Step 2: Connect the Button to the Results Page
2.1. Find the event properties in Klaviyo
To connect the button to the results page, we need to get the results page URL from the events that Lantern sends to Klaviyo.
Click on Preview and Test and at the bottom of Events Properties, you will find the URL properties. Click on results_url_full (or results_url_short if you want to use a custom domain name in your URL). This will automatically copy the URL variable to your clipboard.
Click Done to exit the preview.
2.2 Direct Link to Full URL
In the Link input field for the button, enter
{{ event.results_url_full|default:'' }}to set up a direct link to the full URL for the results page.
Note: This setup is universal and applies to any quiz created with Lantern. The format for linking to the results page will be identical across all quizzes, so you can copy this format for any quiz you send through Klaviyo.

Step 3: Customize the Button
Adjust the button’s appearance to match your email design by using Klaviyo’s built-in options. You can modify the background color, text color, font style, padding, border radius, and alignment—no custom code is needed.
Step 4: Preview and Test
Use Preview and Test in Klaviyo to ensure that the button’s appearance and link function correctly. Go to Preview and test then scroll to find your results page button and click on it in the preview to verify that it redirects to the results page.
Optionally, after you go through the quiz you can send yourself a test e-mail from the Klaviyo e-mail editor in order to confirm the button is automatically taking you to your results page.
