The Compose feature offers more effective and specific placement of assets in generated outputs, enabling the asset to be a focal point of the image.

Compose supports both 2D and 3D images/assets/packshots to be placed onto the canvas and prompted more successfully within an output. Both 2D and 3D assets can be adjusted in size and whilst 2D assets can be moved across the canvas, 3D images can be adjusted and re-positioned in different aspects to better suit placement of the image/asset for the required output.

Note: only USDZ and GLB files are currently supported for 3D compose images.

Relighting is provided as a tool to enhance the lighting in the asset and overall output. It will change the lighting on the asset to match the background e.g. more natural relighting or more pronounced relighting through an adjustable slider, which automatically defaults at 50%. Relighting can help to create dramatic shadows and add warmth whilst enhancing the image to help it retain a more natural and believable appearance.

For 3D compositions, we recommend setting relighting to between 90% and 100% for optimum results.

How to prompt using Compose

Once the asset/packshot has been selected, placed and adjusted on the canvas, a prompt can be written for the background. Compose works best with a more simple background, to give context to the asset/packshot and enhance the focus on this.

The prompt must reference the asset:

2D Packshot:

‘Generate a photo of asset sitting on a wooden countertop in a modern coffee shop. Warmly lit with summer morning light. Natural light. DSLR, 50mm, f/8.4.’

3D packshot:

‘Generate photo of asset placed on a large white stand in a shoe shop. Blurred out rows of sneakers on shelves in background. Clear artificial spotlight on asset. DSLR, 50mm, f/8.4’
