We recommend considering the following when translating content:

  • Use clear and straightforward language. Avoid complex sentence structures that might complicate the translation process.

  • Maintain consistency in terminology and style. This is especially important for technical terms or brand-specific language

Example prompt

"Ensure consistent use of terminology throughout this technical manual translation"

  • Be culturally aware - ensure that the translation is appropriate and resonates with the target audience's cultural context

Example prompt

"Adapt this marketing message for a Japanese audience. Ensure no stereotypes are included"

  • Leverage the AI Model's ability to generate multiple iterations. Compare these to select the most accurate and contextually appropriate translation

Example prompt

"Generate three translation options for this paragraph"

  • Review and edit the translation for accuracy and fluency. Editing is often necessary to ensure the translation reads naturally in the target language.

  • Adapt the tone to suit the audience. Whether formal or informal, the tone should align with the expectations of the target readers.

Example prompt

"Adapt the tone to suit the audience. Whether formal or informal, the tone should align with the expectations of the target readers."

  • Pay attention to idiomatic expressions. Translate them in a way that makes sense in the target language, rather than literally.

Example prompt

"Translate this idiom into a culturally equivalent expression"

Use these tips to refine your translations with Pencil and significantly expand your reach.
