Overview
The Brand DNAi platform utilises a parent-child workspace hierarchy, allowing for multiple levels of workspace organisation. This structure supports a scalable and flexible approach to managing brand information across different tiers. The key components of the hierarchy are:
Parent workspace: The top level workspace that contains global brand knowledge and assets
Child workspace: A workspace linked to a parent, inheriting its brand knowledge and assets.
It is possible to have multiple layers of the parent-child relationship, allowing for flexible workspace hierarchy across brands.
Key Features of the hierarchy
Inheritance of data: All data (files and text extracted from documents) is automatically inherited by any child workspaces
Data Consistency: Any updates made to the parent workspace will be reflected across all linked child workspaces. This ensures that brand information remains consistent across different levels of the hierarchy
Document knowledge and availability: If a document is uploaded to the parent workspace, the document and extracted knowledge are also available in child workspaces.
Access Control Overview
Inheritance of users and roles: Users and roles in parent workspaces are inherited by child workspaces. However access permissions can be adjusted at each level to cater to specific needs.
Editing restrictions: Knowledge inherited from parent workspaces cannot be edited in child workspaces
Documents: Users can drag and drop to rearrange the hierarchy of documents, with parent documents taking precedence over child workspace documents by default.
Attributes & Assets: The hierarchy mechanism is the same as that of documents but users can also add new attributes and assets which will be placed at the lowest position in the list initially.
The design of the hierarchy and control system ensures that Brand DNAi maintains a structured and coherent approach to managing brand information, while allowing flexibility and control for users across different workspace levels.
