Understanding the timeline
The timeline is where you will manage the sequence and duration of your video clips. It consists of several key elements:
Tracks: These are the horizontal sections where your video clips, audio and other elements are placed
Playhead: A vertical line that indicates the current position in the timeline. You can move it to preview different parts of your video.
Clip handles: Small markers at the beginning and end of each clip that allow you to adjust the clip's length.
Adjusting the length of your video clip
Open the template that contains your video clip(s)
In the timeline select the video clip that you want to work on and it will be highlighted like the one above.
Use your mouse to grab one of the clip handles at either end of the clip. Drag it towards the centre of the clip to reduce its length and drag it away from the centre to increase the length, assuming there is additional footage available.
Once you are happy with the results, ensure you save your project.
