Pencil’s media channel integrations allow for seamless, two-way interaction between creative development and ad deployment. These integrations streamline your workflow, reduce manual steps, and provide performance insights to help optimise future campaigns.

Two-way integration: export and import

  • Export: Send finished creatives directly to your connected media channels from within Pencil.

  • Import: Automatically pull all ads from your media channels into the Results & Insights sections for performance analysis.

Exporting Pencil creatives to media channels

Pencil provides a range of pre-formatted templates and Safezones tailored to different social media platforms, ensuring your ads are correctly sized and optimised for each channel. These tools, along with Pencil’s end-to-end creative workflow -from ideation to export—make integrations especially powerful.

Once your ad accounts are integrated, they will appear under the ‘Export’ button in the platform. You can choose to export a single creative or multiple feed variations, allowing for efficient bulk publishing.

Analysing and optimising ad performance

  • Once your ad account is connected, Pencil will automatically import all ads—regardless of where they were originally created—into the Results & Insights dashboard for analysis.

  • At present, Pencil does not distinguish between Pencil-generated ads and those made elsewhere, so we recommend using consistent naming conventions to help track performance and identify which ads were created in Pencil.
