Your asset library shows you every asset that you have in Pencil. Uploading more assets can significantly improve your results, as you’re giving the AI more information to help it understand your brand.

Assets and products can be tagged for better organisation.

How do I add products?

You can organise your assets by products. These could be organised as distinct tangible product lines, be aligned to service offerings or be aligned to campaigns.

You can add a new product using the Add product button. You then have the option to choose a product name, enter a product description and upload assets to the product.

You can also add assets to a product from the dropdown menu next to each asset in the library.

Top tip: it is always worth considering the kinds of ads you'll want to generate for a product and choosing a mix of transparent product images and images with background.

How do I add assets?

  • Select ‘Upload Assets’

  • Select ‘Add stock assets’

  • Select ‘Add product’ and add a name and description of the product; this can also be added via a URL. The products you add here will be used by the image generation tool - the more you upload the better, particularly if you have the product pictured from different angles.

  • Generate an image and add it to ‘Assets’ via the Image Generation tool.

Pencil accepts the following asset types, in any aspect ratio, up to 10MB/2000px for images and 250MB/10min for video, and at least 5s for video. Don’t upload assets with text, graphics or subtitles.

You can set images to include or exclude a background; so long as your image is relatively simple, you can easily change the background to be transparent.
