The ‘Generate copy’ tool helps you quickly create variations.
Click on the cell where you want to generate copy, and click the ‘Generate copy’ button. You can then add a prompt, which can reference other cells.
For example:
To add varying Headers, you can select a cell in the Header column, click ‘Generate copy’ and write a prompt, which references other cells.
To reference another cell, you must use a hashtag before referring to the cell, e.g. #a2, #b3, #c6.
In the example below, we use the prompt: Generate a header for product #a2 in market #b2 for audience #c2 in language #d2. No more than 50 characters. Informal and engaging tone.
You can edit your prompt as many times as you like, and regenerate, or you can tweak the copy directly in the cell.
Once you have finished your first prompt, you can drag the cursor down to fill in the cells below, within the parameters you have set. Or, you can write a different prompt for each cell.
Note: you can also include an example piece of copy in a cell if you want to provide the AI with a sample it can use for inspiration. To do this, you would reference that cell in your prompt, e.g. ‘Match the copy in #g2’.
