How to connect your Pencil workspace to CreativeX
To connect CreativeX in your Pencil account, on your landing page, select the settings tab of your workspace and find the integrations page.
Find the CreativeX API field at the bottom of the page and add your API code.
Once you have added your code, click validate the API key. Once the API key is generated a new field will appear for a Brand to be selected. Once selected, click save.
Please note: It is mandatory to have one brand selected at all times, but you can change the brand at any time. One API key can be used on many work spaces.
To confirm CreativeX has been correctly connected, navigate back to integrations page and scroll down to see if the creativeX score is enabled.
Should you ever need to pause this integration, you can do so by clicking on the toggle on the right hand side of the page next to the CreativeX field.
How to view your CreativeX score in Pencil
CreativeX powers creative decision-making and measurement at scale for the world's most sophisticated brands through data and AI-powered technology. Marketers use the Creative Quality Score, or CQS, to measure each ad’s digital suitability (CQS is calculated by tracking the presence of statistically-validated and platform-specific creative best practices, which serve as the floor for effective digital ads).
There are two options to select and view your CreativeX score. To access both options, first select ‘Creatives’ from the side-bar on the workspace.
On the ‘Creatives’ page, a ‘Prediction Settings’ option can be located at the top right hand of the page. Using the drop-down arrow, the source can be changed from Pencil to CreativeX.
Now that the source of the Prediction Settings has been changed, the CreativeX logo will be visible in the top left-hand corner of all creatives.
This button in the top left-hand corner of the creatives is also another way to change the source of the Prediction Settings. Simply select the drop-down arrow on the button and select the CreativeX source from there.
NOTE: This option will only change the Prediction Settings of the Creative that is selected. To change Prediction Settings for all creatives, using the Prediction Settings tab will be the most efficient option.
How to generate a score using CreativeX
Now that the source for predictions has been changed to CreativeX, a score can be generated for a creative. Select the drop-down arrow located next to the CreativeX logo on the creative, and select the appropriate channel that the creative will be published on. Depending on your selection, other drop down fields will appear and need to be selected, which may include the market, publisher and placement:
Once all the relevant fields are completed, click ‘Request CQS’.
Please note: The process of requesting a CQS can take 24 hours. After 24 hours a score will be generated with feedback, which can be requested again if necessary.
If a Creative is selected to be edited, the source for prediction settings can also be changed within the editing page. This can be located in the top left-hand corner of the page:
