With Pencil's Feed Variation Tool, you can easily create multiple ad creatives in different languages using a single template. What’s more, you can use HTML code to generate custom filenames for your assets. This helps you keep your files organised by language or any other criteria, making asset management quick and efficient.

Setting Up Custom Filenames

To get started, you'll need to set up a column in your feed with a header titled _VARIATION_FILENAME. Be sure to type this exactly as shown, as the feed variation tool is case-sensitive.

Once this is set up, you can define the custom filename for each of your generated assets, making it super easy to keep track of your creatives.

The example below shows how this looks in the feed. We’ve used this tool to name different images designed for different countries, however, you can use this tool to name images in any way.

Below you can see the final result, when your assets are saved under their designated filenames, automatically organised and ready to use.

If you need more help setting this up or have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team! We're always here to help.
