What is self-paced learning and how does it work?
Updated over a week ago

At Turing College, we want to teach our learners to be the owners of their own learning process. This is a critical skill to have in order to continue learning and improving throughout your whole career. Self-paced learning is where the student goes through the material at their own speed and is not pushed to move forward with the program until they're ready. This is possible because there are no lectures or scheduled classes in our programs - the primary means of learning is through working on projects.

This means if you want to blitz through the program and graduate in 6 months, you can. On the other hand, if you want to spend time focusing on certain tasks and areas of the program, you can do that too.

The only regular events are stand-ups and you can choose from several times suitable for you. You can schedule project reviews at times convenient for you. You have a lot of flexibility in regards to how fast you move through the program and when you start the endorsement process (i.e. looking for a job with the help of Turing College). The studies have a maximum time limit, however, and some learners may have specific deadlines that they will need to follow.
