To learn about Turno's marketplace application, check out Getting Started as a Cleaner.

⏰ How long does it take?

After at least one of your references responds, your application is released to be reviewed by our team. There are times when we receive a large number of applications, so it may take up to 1-2 weeks for the team to get to yours. Thank you for your patience!

❓ How does it work?

To use Turno to meet new customers, create an account as a cleaner and fill out the application form in your account under Find New Customers to join our marketplace. If everything is in order and you are approved, you can start bidding on offers from hosts looking for cleaners in your area.

👥 Whose contact can I provide as a reference?

Our team is very particular about reviewing applications, and having previous experience cleaning vacation rentals is one of the criteria - please provide references from people you have worked for in the past or are working for currently.

How does the approval process work?

The approval process depends on the number of cleaners already registered in your area, and there isn't an exact time estimate for it - it all depends on how many applications are being reviewed by our team at the time.

So it can take up to two weeks (after at least one of your references is received, not after you completed your application) for it to be reviewed, although it's usually a lot faster - except for the times we receive a high amount of applications.

A set of criteria is checked in your application for you to be approved.

💭 It says I have been "deferred". Why?

Applications are deferred when there are too many cleaners in an area at the moment. Deferred applications go to a list and stay pending until there is a need for more cleaners in that area.

When your application is deferred, it means you have been placed on the waiting list. To move up the waiting list, we recommend you invite your existing customers to the platform and complete projects with them.

🔍I applied because I saw an advertisement saying you needed cleaners in my area, but I was not accepted. Why?

Please keep in mind that when ads are posted to an area, we receive a higher number of applications from there, and our team has to select cleaners given the number of customers looking for cleaners there. So, if there are only a few customers, some applications might end up deferred for the time being.

Deferred applications stay pending in a list where they are placed higher or lower depending on the cleaner's experience and how many references they have received. If you are deferred, there must be applications that are in a higher position than yours at the moment for those few customers in your area.
