How to Import Blocked Dates to Turno

When you import blocked dates to your host calendar, they will also have cleaning projects associated with them

Sometimes, a rental calendar may have bookings from more than one platform in it or dates marked as Not Available. If your calendar is from any of the platforms Turno supports syncing with, such as Airbnb, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, or VRBO/Homeaway (among many others), and has blocked dates, Turno will not sync them by default.

To sync these dates on Turno and generate cleaning projects associated with them as well, you can allow the system to import these blocked dates. To do this, go to the Calendars tab in your property's settings. Under your calendar's URL, you will see this option:

For [rental platform] calendars, import non-[rental platform] events from my [rental platform] calendar. This option will import blocked dates from your [rental platform] calendar and will assign cleanings to them.

Click on the box to switch it on, and then choose an option from the menu:

  • Import all non-[rental platform] events from my [rental platform] calendar, except those marked as 'Not Available': all events in your rental calendar, including bookings from other platforms hooked to the calendar you uploaded to Turno will be imported, except for dates that marked as Not Available (no one can book it).

  • Import all non-[rental platform] events from my [rental platform] calendar (not recommended): this will import all appointments scheduled on your calendar, bookings, non-bookings, blocked dates/dates marked as not available, etc, and the system will generate cleaning projects for them as if they were bookings. We do not recommend this because it can cause double projects in certain cases, depending on the setup of your account, or simply unintended projects.

⚠️ If you use more than one rental platform, we recommend that instead of using this option, you add all of your calendars to your property individually. This can ensure that you and your cleaners don't miss any bookings or don't end up with double projects, as well as guaranteed full support. ⚠️
