Even when a project is generated automatically by the system, or when you created a manual project but there are some updates you want to make, you can still edit its information if needed. ✍️

Editing a project is useful when you need to, for example, edit the project's date, time, price, and many others. It also allows you to restrict the project to a specific teammate, or leave a note.

It can be an intuitive process, but we have detailed all its features for you here!

🗓️ On the Schedule page

You can edit projects by accessing them from the Schedule page.

(You must be logged in to your host account for the buttons above to work.)

On the Schedule page, find the project you want to edit on the schedule, select it by clicking on the project's card, then click on the "Edit Project" button.

📃 On the Project List

You can edit projects by accessing them from the Project List page, under the "Projects" section.

(You must be logged in to your host account for the buttons above to work.)

On the List page, find the project you want to edit in the Pending And Accepted tab, click on the project, then on the green three-dotted icon to the right, which will open a menu, then click on the "Edit Project" option.

📝 Editing card

Either one of the paths above will take you to a screen like the one below. Once on the "Edit Project" card, you can update:

1️⃣ The project's date

2️⃣ The project's time

3️⃣ The project's associated checklist

4️⃣ The project's price

5️⃣ The "Guest Arrives Same Day" tag

6️⃣ Leave a note to your teammate

7️⃣ Restrict it to specific teammates

Project date/time ⏳

If you need to update the date for any reason, you can do so by clicking on the "Start Date" or the "End Date" field. You can do the same with the project's time by clicking on the "Start Time" and "Finish Time" fields if needed.

Project price 💰

On the 'Price' section, you can update the project price by selecting the "Custom Price" option. This overrides the teammate's rate that was set up for the property, which means they can have a specific price that will be valid for this project only, so their project rate won't be changed for additional projects.

You can also set if it's 'per hour' or 'per project' as shown below:

Checklist ✅

When you set a default checklist while editing a property, it will enable the checklist on this property's projects. The checklist will then be displayed to the teammate in their mobile app when they check the project request and also after they accept the project.

You can change this specific project's checklist by opening the dropdown menu and selecting another one of your checklists from the "Select a checklist" option:

"Guest Arrives Same Day" feature 🏡

When you check the "Guest Arrives Same Day" box, your teammate will see the tag on the project's card, notifying them that a guest will check out and another one will check in later on the same day.

So you can select this option whenever you need to let your teammate know that they can only do the project on that specific day/time.

📑 Note: Turno automatically adds this tag to projects that exist between a check-out and check-in on the same day. Here is an example of how it looks on the teammate's end:

This is a screenshot from the teammate's end that shows the "Same day arrival" tag they see on the project when the "Guest Arrives Same Day" box is checked.

Notes 📑

Here, you can leave a note specific to this project for your teammate to add any information regarding the property, such as access codes or anything you need. This will be visible on their end under the "Project Notes" section.

You can also add private notes, which will only be displayed for you, and no teammate will have access to it.

Restrict to specific teammates ❌

This option can be checked to restrict this project to specific teammates. This means that the project in question will be available only to them and will not show up on other teammates' project requests besides the ones you select.

⚠️ This does not mean that the selected teammate will be assigned to the project, just that this project will only be visible to the selected teammates, and only they will be able to accept it.

To do so, click on the "Restrict to Specific Teammates" box and then select a teammate from the "Select a teammate" dropdown menu (you can select multiple teammates):

📑 Note: If you want to directly assign a teammate to this project, you can follow the instructions in this article:

Once you're done with your changes, make sure to click on the "Update" button at the bottom right so that your changes are saved. ✅

📱 Through the mobile app

On your app, you will find the same editing options as on the web, so that you can update your project anywhere.

To access the editing card, go to your "Projects" page, click on the project of your choice, and click on the three dots in the top right corner so you can select "Edit Project".

Once you do so, it will open the Edit Card, as you can see below: ⬇️

'Payment' section💲

In this area, you will find the options to edit the project price. If you select the "Custom Price" option, it will override the teammate's rate that was set up for the property, which means they can have a specific price that will be valid for this project only, so their project rate won't be changed for additional projects.

You also have the ability to set the price 'Per project' or 'Per hour':

'Project' section⏰

Here, you will find the options to edit the project 'Date', 'Time', and the 'Guest arrives same day' tag.

You can use this last option to let your teammates know that they can only do the project on that specific day/time.

When you check the "Guest Arrives Same Day" box, your teammate will see the tag on the project's card, notifying them that a guest will check out and another one will check in later on the same day.

'About the Cleaning' section 🧼

This is the last section on the editing card, and you will find here the options to restrict the project to specific teammates, change the checklist added to the project, leave notes to the teammate, or add private notes that only you can see.

As for the 'Restrict' option, you can check the box to restrict this project to specific teammates and select the one(s) of your choice. This means that this project will be available only to them and will not show up on other teammates' project requests besides the ones you select.

⚠️ This does not mean that the selected teammate will be assigned to the project, just that this project will only be visible to the selected teammates, and only they will be able to accept it.

At the end, don't forget to click on "Save" so all of your changes are applied! ✅
