TurnoverBnB does not hold any payment information, only our payments processor, Stripe, does. So in order to get paid via TurnoverBnB by your customers, you need to set up a Stripe account that will be connected with your TurnoverBnB Cleaner account. 💵✨
To do this, go to the "Set up Account" page on the website version of the platform.
You must be logged in to your TurnoverBnB cleaner account on the website for the button above to work
Once there, click on "Connect with Stripe", the button that looks like this:
You'll then be taken to Stripe's page where you can either create a new account or connect an existing account by using your account's email on the "Get started with Stripe" page:
Please keep in mind that an existing Stripe account that is already connected to another service will not connect to TurnoverBnB.
Once your Stripe account is connected, you should be all set. ✨ Payments will be processed automatically when you mark projects as complete (as long as automatic payments are enabled on your customer's side).
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Stripe Support directly.
Frequently Asked Questions
❓: I don't have a business website, what should I do?
A: Don't worry, you don't need to look for or copy a link from any other place. 😉 There is an auto-generated one when you set up your Stripe account so you should leave that field as it is. However, if you click on the field by mistake, Stripe won't auto-complete it anymore. You can contact us via our Help chat and we will be able to provide one for you. 🙂
You can leave the Business website without any information, the Stripe platform should auto-complete it with a Business link for you.
❓: What is a "Statement Descriptor"?
A: A statement descriptor is the business name a customer will see on their card statements. This will be visible in payment statements, invoices, and receipts. 💸
By default, it should say "APP.TURNOVERBNB.COM" but you can change this to something more of your personal liking, it can be "Your Name" followed by "TurnoverBnB Cleaner" or your cleaning company name as well if you have one.
Keep in mind to choose a name that's easy to recognize to avoid potential chargebacks. 💡
In the examples below, you can see how it would look like in your customer's statements if your statement descriptor was set to "YOUR BUSINESS NAME" and if the shortened descriptor was set to only "BUSINESS":
Statement descriptor: YOUR BUSINESS NAME
Shortened descriptor: BUSINESS
