GitHub is like Dropbox for specifically for storing source code.

It's okay for a developer to keep the code on their personal GitHub account when getting started, but long term it's safer to have the code stored on your own account.

Create a GitHub account

  1. Go to github.com
  2. Create an account with a username, email, and password

Create a GitHub organization

  1. Go to https://github.com/account/organizations/new
  2. Select the team option with 5 users
  3. Invite codytheturtle and any other team members to the organization
