There are two things that you can do to strengthen your document's legal compliance and security - through customizing its audit trail and qualifying signers. Both settings can be adjusted by opening the "Advanced Settings" on the Document Preparation Window.

Add an Audit Trail: Click here to know what is an audit trail. You can customize the information you want to include in the audit trail by clicking on the tickbox beside the audit trail options.

  • Email address - This is a required information

  • Show document ID - UDID or universal document ID displayed at the bottom of all the pages; also a required information

  • Show author - Displays the name of the person who prepared the document

  • Show mobile number - Displays the verified mobile number of all the signatories; the last 4 digits of which will be masked.

  • Show ID Details - Shows the details of the government-issued ID submitted by all the signers; only appears with users who have verified TWALA ID.

Who is allowed to sign this document: TWALA supports two levels of eligibility as part of its document security protocols:

  1. Anyone with TWALA account can accept and sign the document invitation

  2. Anyone with TWALA account and a verified TWALA ID. This restricts signing capacity to users who have created their Twala ID, got approved, and have linked their digital ID to their TWALA Sign account.

  3. In case the signer was invited to sign a document that requires a verified TWALA ID, they will have to create one before they can sign the document.
