Below is a breakdown of each Document Status and what it means.
Types of Document Statuses:
Invites- The document has been sent, but the recipient hasn't accepted the invitation or signed it yet.
Draft - The document is still being prepared — it hasn't been sent out for signatures yet.
Out for Signature - The document has been sent to the signer(s) and is waiting to be signed.
Awaiting My Signature - You (the account owner) have accepted the invitation to sign the document but haven't signed it yet.
Declined - The recipient has declined to sign the document.
Cancelled - The sender (document owner) has cancelled the request for signature. Only the sender can cancel a document.
Archived - The document has been archived by the account owner. Archived documents are not active but are still stored for record-keeping.
Trash - The document has been moved to the Trash folder. Documents in Trash will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
Important Notes:
Deleting a document from your folder will not delete copies stored in other users' folders who have access to the document.
Only documents in the Trash folder will be permanently deleted from your account.

How to Manage Document Status?
Here’s how you can organize or change your document’s status:
1. Move to Archive
Select the document > Click More Options (•••) > Choose Archive
2. Cancel a Document
Go to the document > Click More Options (•••) > Select Cancel Document
3. Delete a Document
Move the document to the Trash folder > The document will automatically be deleted after 30 days
