Setting document expiration during preparation

Steps to follow:

  1. To prepare a document, either navigate to the documents page then click "prepare document" or on the dashboard click the "prepare document" button.

  2. After being redirected to the ‘prepare document’ page, select the document's compliance (e.g. via Twala Sign, via PKI or via Email).

  3. Then, upload the file/s.

  4. Next, add the participants of the document and choose their respective roles.

  5. Click the advance settings, navigate to the "add expiration section" under the "add tags section".

  6. Click the field to select the date of the document's expiration, then click okay.

  7. Once the document details are correct, proceed by clicking the prepare document.

  8. When the document had finished loading, apply the necessary fields to the document.

  9. To finish preparing the document, click "send".

Setting document expiration on an existing document.

Things to consider before setting a document expiration on an existing document.

  • The user should already have a document whereas they are the author.

Steps to follow:

  1. Navigate to the documents page.

  2. Select the document from the document list.

  3. Click the more button beside the document.

  4. Once the sidebar had appeared, click "set expiration".

  5. A calendar prompt should appear. Select the document's date of expiration, then click set expiration

  6. Click confirm.

NOTE: To verify if the document expiration is successfully set to the document, click the document's more button and check the sidebar if it displays the document expiration.
