Who is considered self-employed

Self-employed applicants are individuals who operate their own business or work independently, rather than being employed by another organization.

Required documents

Two Dots policy requires self-employed applicants to either provide one of the following as official proof of income:

  • Tax Transcript

  • Bank Linking or 3 months of Personal Bank Statements
    โ€‹

Tax Transcripts:

One of the following must be downloaded directly from the IRS website:

  • Record of Account Transcript

  • Account Transcript

  • Tax Return Transcript
    โ€‹

Bank Statements / Bank Linking:

Applicants may verify income using average monthly deposits and assets in their personal bank account.

  • Business bank statements are not accepted. Business accounts often include non-income transactions (such as expenses), making it difficult to accurately assess income.

  • Applicants must provide recent PDF bank statements downloaded directly from their bankโ€™s website โ€“ or securely link their personal bank account through the Two Dots portal for verification.
