Gig Pay refers to earnings from freelance or independent contract work through platforms such as Uber, DoorDash, Instacart, Lyft, and other similar platforms.

This income type is considered a side source of income and must be verified separately before it can be included in the applicant’s total verified income.

What You Need to Upload

  • Monthly statements from gig apps or website (e.g., Uber, DoorDash, Lyft, etc.)

  • Link the bank account showing direct deposits from the gig platform (Only acceptable if platform statements are unavailable.)

  • For Instacart statements , please upload at least two (2) recent statements.

Document Standards

  • The statement must clearly show your name, transaction period, the platform name, and a payment breakdown.

  • Ensure the statement shows at least 4 recent weeks of consistent work history.

  • Do not provide the documents in scans, screenshots, and images as these types cannot be accepted.

  • Do not open, edit, or save your gig pay statement using another software or program (such as Word, Excel, or a third-party PDF editor) before uploading. This can alter the document’s data and make it appear unverified on our end.

  • Always download the statement directly from the gig platform’s official website or app and upload it as-is.

If Documents Cannot Be Verified

If the submitted gig statements do not meet the document standards and cannot be verified, applicants may be asked to provide one of the following:

  • A recent bank statement (downloaded from the bank website) showing deposits that match the gig statements, or

  • A recent IRS tax transcript (downloaded from the IRS website)
