If your employment situation meets both of the following criteria:

  • Your income is roughly the same amount every month, and

  • Your income is always deposited into your bank account

Then, instead of uploading documents, you can securely link your bank account after verifying your ID. Just follow the same link provided in the text message or email we sent you.

Why We Ask You to Link Your Bank

Two Dots uses a service called Stripe to securely share your banking data with us. This is only for the purpose of expediting your apartment approval process.

  • Your security is our priority: Your bank login credentials are never seen, saved, or stored by Two Dots or your property manager.

  • You stay in control: You choose what data we can access, we never gain access to your username or password, and you can revoke access at any time by contacting your bank.

  3. You’ll be redirected to Stripe’s secure bank login portal.

  5. Select the account you want to link.

FAQ

How do I know if my bank linked successfully?

  • You should be able to review this information directly from your Two Dots flow.

What do I do if I can't see the option to link my bank account?

  • You can reach out to Support. They will send a secure link to your email which can be used to begin the process.

Why did my bank account fail to link?

  • If your bank was not able to link, it is possible that it is not yet supported by Stripe. Stripe offers more information on why this might happen here.

  • If you are getting an error message, it is possible that a technical issue occurred. We recommend you reach out to our support team if this happens.

What can I do if my bank account fails to link?

  • Sometimes, there might be a delay. It is recommended to wait a couple of hours to check whether your bank was able to link.

  • If after a few hours, your bank is still not synced correctly - you can try unlinking and linking again.

  • If the problem persists, you can also upload your bank statements directly to our platform. Just make sure to download them directly from your bank's website and upload them to Two Dots without opening them in any kind of app or program.

  • If you are still encountering issues, reach out to Support for help.

Why does my account balance look wrong after linking my bank account?

  • At this time, our system is only able to verify and use the information that is provided directly through the bank link.

  • This could be due to a few reasons, such as:

    • Linking the wrong account (for example, a checking account instead of a savings account)

    • Only a specific account within your Bank profile being linked, rather than all accounts

    • A temporary issue with the connection to your bank
