Our tips

  • Use a lapel microphone (this is a must for all Typsy videos) 

  • Remove all background noise 

  • Avoid filming in a location where there is an echo 

  • Be aware of how sounds are picked up on camera. If you’re demonstrating something that creates a noise (e.g. shaking a cocktail, using a blender or slicing bread) do a practice of this to test how the sound is picked up by your microphone. If it’s too loud you might need to change where your microphone or the item are positioned. Avoid talking at the same time as performing these actions so that your words aren’t covered by the noise. 

  • Do a sound check before you start filming
