In Tyto Online, students start in the Student District where they can then get to any location.
The main things for you two know are:
You can get to Transit Centers in any map that connect to every other Transit Center and gets you to most every other map in the game.
The Sandboxes are accessed from Tyto Academy, which is in the Student District and has its own Transit Center. There are Supervisor characters you talk with that give you special access to these features.

Hint: on your Minimap (bottom right), you'll see a special Transit Center button that will take you to the Transit Center in any zone immediately for fast traveling!
