1. Time Tracker

A. Current Tick
What percentage of time in current time scale has passed until reaching the next unit level.

B. Time Scale
Dropdown menu with scales from days to centuries to make the simulation run at different speeds.

C. Pause / Play
Pauses and resumes simulation.

* Using tools also pauses the simulation. Closing the tool panel would automatically resume.

Panning (default): pans the view of the planet

The player can also move the camera using W, A, S, D keys.

Region Info: shows regional stats of clicked area

3. Planet Stat Panel

Planet Stats

Displays statistics about the planet.

A. Filters
Determines what's shown on the planet. Legends appear at the top of the screen.

• Temperature, elevation and precipitation filter color-codes the surface of the planet.
• Air mass temperature and humidity filter color-codes the air masses.

B. GHG and human info
Overall status of all human settlements on the planet.

*Only available after human settlements are placed.

​Navigation to Other Planets

Clicking the quick navigation tab allows the player to navigate between planets without leaving the simulation.

4. Hot Bar

Planet Axis Tilt

Adjusts the axis tilt angle of the planet.

Planet Rotation Speed

Adjusts how many earth hours it takes for the planet to rotate once.

Air Mass Placement

Places air masses with adjustable temperature, humidity, size, and elevation on the planet.

Human Settlement Placement

Places human settlements on landmasses.

  • Clicking on a settlement brings up the info panel showing the status of the settlement.

  • In the technology tab, the player can buy/delete technology sites.

Human Technology

A technology tree showing unlocking order and progress.

  • Click a tech to view its production and cost rate or to make it "focused" so it is prioritized to be unlocked.

5. Camera Controls

  • Camera Zoom
    Zooms closer / farther from the planet surface
    ​

  • Lock in Orbit
    Turning it on enables the camera to rotate with the planet, allowing a fixed view of the planet.

  • Planet Motion
    Turning it on enables visualizations of planet rotation, allowing the observation of day/night cycle.
    * Turning it off is recommended for students susceptible to motion sickness.
