How to place a trade

In order to place a trade, you must have one of the two following items in your account:

Please follow the below guidance to place a trade

1) Navigate to the asset page

  • The order entry section is located to the right of the chart:

2) Select "Buy" or "Sell"

3) Enter order information

  • tZERO Securities only supports limit orders

  • Note that the time in force defaults to "Day"

    • Day order - will cancel at the end of the day when the market closes

    • Good 'Till Cancel - order will remain active until canceled

    • Good 'Till Date - order will remain active until specified date

  • Price

    • This is the price at which you wish to buy or sell the asset

  • Quantity

    • This is the number of shares you wish to buy or sell of the asset

4) Click "Review Order"

5) An order confirmation window will appear

  • You must click the acknowledge box before you are able to submit your order

6) Submit your order

  • To confirm the status of your order, you can review your transaction history by going to the "History" tab or by scrolling down on the asset page where open and recent orders are visible
