Who can use it?

Tracking an activity round is completely free and available to anyone using the UDisc app! You can record an activity round on any course and layout, with any number of players.

How does it work?

When creating a scorecard, you will have the opportunity to indicate for every player if you want to use a scoring round or activity round. After all players are confirmed, choose a scoring preference for each player, then tap to start your round.

Why should I use it?

  • Keep the streak alive! Tracking an activity round will allow you to keep your streak going, even if you aren’t in the mood to keep score.

  • Track your activity metrics! As long as you have given UDisc the necessary permissions, tracking an activity round will allow UDisc to record your physical activity while you are on the course. Learn more here!

  • Support the growth of the sport! Making sure to track every time you play disc golf helps ensure the accuracy of the data delivered to Course Ambassadors, which can be instrumental in helping to grow the sport in your community.

If I am in an activity round, can I still keep score for the rest of my card mates?

When you are in an activity round, you won’t see any scores or have the option to change scores in any way. If you are playing with a mixed group, a player in a scoring round will have to keep score on their device.

Can you switch between a scoring and activity round in the middle of the round?

Tap on the menu in the upper right of the scorecard, and tap Player round settings. From here, switch the setting for any players on the scorecard and tap Done. You can switch back to a scoring round any time by following the same steps.

What happens to scores if I switch to an activity round in the middle of a round?

You will no longer see any scores for this round. However, the scores will still be stored, and if you switch back to a scoring round, you will still see the scores there.

Can I change a round to an activity round even after I complete it?

Open the scorecard in question, tap the menu in the upper right, and tap Player round settings. Here you can switch between a scoring round and activity round.

After a round is completed, you can only edit these settings for yourself; other players cannot be changed.

How can I set my default scoring preferences?

From the UDisc app tap More -> App settings. Under the Scorecards heading you will see the option to Default to activity round. By toggling this on, your scorecards will automatically default to activity rounds in the future.

Can I still see hole information in an activity round?

You’ll see distance and par for each hole, and if you tap on the map icon, then you can open the hole map too (which includes your distance to the pin). The smartwatch app functions as a rangefinder too, displaying your current distance to the pin.

UDisc Pro members can tap a button to see global average hole scores, as well as your personal performance on each hole.
