Classic Layouts are outdated and have been replaced by Smart Layouts. Course Ambassadors, as well as League and Event admins can now create Smart Layouts. Why should you use Smart Layouts?

If you don't have access to create a new Smart Layout, and using a Classic Layout is necessary, you create or edit one by following these steps.

Update an Existing Classic Layout

  1. Navigate to the course in the Courses tab.

  2. On the course’s page, scroll down and select Update Layouts.

  3. Select an existing layout from the list to update it.

  4. You can update details, hole names and pars, or edit the map.

Update Details

In the Update Details section, you can change basic information about the layout like:

  • Layout name

  • Layout status

  • Layout description

Update Hole Names / Pars

This is where you can adjust the par for any given hole and change the hole number or name.

Update Map

Using UDisc’s map editor is intuitive. It can be done directly from a scorecard, or from the dedicated map editor access from any layout’s page. Check out our dedicated article on mapping layouts to learn more about how to use this tool.

Create a New Public Layout

  1. Navigate to the course in the Courses tab.

  2. On the course’s page, scroll down and select Update Layouts.

  3. Tap Add New Classic Layout to create a new layout.

When creating a new layout, you are prompted to add the layout details, hole names, and pars. You can then add a map after the layout is approved. Learn how to do that here.

You will receive an email when an update is approved. Approvals can take up to 24-48 hours, though we always try to approve submissions sooner whenever possible.

Please note: not all layout updates or newly submitted layouts will be approved. For your best chance of approval, check out this dedicated article on things likely to be rejected.
