What Are Hole Notes?

Hole notes let you add important course details—like OB, Mandos, and special rules—directly to the layout to be visible on active scorecards.

How to Add Hole Notes in Map Manager

  1. On the hole:

    • Select a hole and tap the edit (pencil) icon.

    • Add notes in the Notes section and tap Save.

    • Notes added here apply to all fairways on this hole.

  2. On the fairway:

    • Select a fairway and tap the edit (pencil) icon.

    • Add notes in the Notes section and tap Save.

    • Notes added here will only apply to this fairway, and will override any notes on the hole.

  3. On a specific layout

    • If a layout has unique rules (e.g., for leagues or events), you can override Map Manager notes in the layout settings.

What to Include in Hole Notes

  • Use clear, player-friendly language (e.g., “Pathway and beyond OB”).

  • Keep it rule-focused—avoid strategy tips (e.g., “Best to throw a mid-range RHBH”).

  • No profanity or inappropriate content.

Hole notes are only available on Smart Layouts. Make sure to upgrade all of your Classic Layouts! Learn more here!
