Once you're in the Participants tab, the workflow for adding and managing players is the same whether you're running a league or a standalone event. Here's how to get there and what you can do.
Accessing your Participants tab
For league admins:
On the web, go to League tools → Events, select the event you want to manage, then tap the Participants button. In the app, open the event listing, tap Manage event, then tap Participants.
For standalone event TDs:
On the web, go to your Event tools and tap the Participants tab. In the app, open your event listing, tap Manage event, then tap Participants.
Adding individual players
Tap + Add participant
Search by UDisc username, email, or PDGA number — or tap Add player without a UDisc account
Select their Division (if divisions are being used)
Designate whether the participant has paid or checked in
Add any Participant notes
Tap Save
Tip: Use the Add more toggle to keep the Add participant window open when adding multiple players at once.
Note: Adding a player without a UDisc account? They'll appear as a participant in the event, but other players won't be able to add them to a scorecard from the app. As the league admin or TD, you'll need to add them to a card yourself — go to the Participants tab to add and check them in, then head to the Leaderboard tab to add them to a card. If added without an email, they also won't receive any event communications.
Importing players from an external registration site
If you're using an external registration platform, players can be added manually from the Participants tab using their UDisc username. Alternatively, a bulk import option is available in beta — ask to talk to a person in the chat with your registration file to get started.
Adding teams manually
Tap + Add team
Enter a Team name
Select the Division (if divisions are being used)
Designate if the team has checked in
Add any Team notes
Add each teammate by searching their UDisc username, PDGA number, or email
Tap Save
Tip: Need to add a player without a UDisc account to a team? Tap Add a player without a UDisc account and enter their full name and email, or add them without an email.
See How do I randomize players for a teams event? if you'd prefer to assign players to teams automatically.
Removing or unregistering players
If a player drops out, you have three options depending on when they withdraw.
Remove them from the event entirely:
If the player has already started scoring, first remove all their scores via Leaderboard → pencil icon → Adjust scores & penalties, then tap Save. Then go to the Participants tab, tap the 3-dot menu → Unregister participant → Remove. If no scores have been added, go straight to the Participants tab and follow the same unregister steps.
Mark them as Did Not Finish (DNF):
Keep the player registered but mark them as DNF. See How can I set players as Did Not Finish (DNF)?
Verify their incomplete score:
If a player completed some holes before dropping out, you can accept their partial score once the event is complete and all other players have submitted their cards. Ask the player to stop recording and leave any unplayed holes blank. Once the event is complete, go to the Leaderboard tab, tap the 3-dot menu on the card → Mark card as verified, then select No when asked "Mark players with an incomplete round as DNF?"
A player checked in under the wrong account
If a player has more than one UDisc account and checked in under the wrong one, here's how to fix it.
Step 1: Screenshot their scores
Before making any changes, take a screenshot of the player's current scorecard so you have a record of their scores.
Step 2: Remove their scores and set to DNF
Go to the Leaderboard tab in Event tools
Tap the pencil (Edit) icon → Adjust scores & penalties
Remove all scores and tap Save
Tap the pencil icon again → Set to DNF
Step 3: Remove the incorrect account from the event
Go to the Participants tab, tap the 3-dot menu next to the incorrect account, and tap Unregister participant → Remove.
Step 4: Add the correct account and enter scores
Add the player under their correct UDisc account from the Participants tab. Then choose one of two paths:
To show scores on the leaderboard only: Go to Leaderboard → pencil icon → Adjust scores & penalties and enter their scores manually. These will show on the event leaderboard but won't update on the player's device.
To show scores on the player's device: Add the player to the event, then go to the Leaderboard tab and open their card. Tap the pencil icon → Remove card verification. The player can then open the card in the app, enter their scores, and save their round. Once done, verify their card from the Leaderboard tab.
Step 5: Remove the incorrect account from your league
Go to League tools → Members, find the incorrect account, tap the 3-dot menu, and select Remove from league.
Step 6: Going forward
Make sure the player knows which UDisc account to use — they should always check in under the same account. If someone else is adding them to a card, let the group know the correct username to search for. If the player wants to clean up their duplicate account, see How do I delete my UDisc account?
Note: If you've worked through these steps and are still having trouble, ask to talk to a person in the chat. Include your league name or URL, the event date, and the player's name.
