"Non-comedogenic" products are usually recommended for oily or acne-prone (facial) skin.

These products usually have a lighter texture, or contain less fatty oils to prevent the appearance of unwanted blackheads (comedones). However, comedogenicity cannot be derived from individual ingredients used, but always results from the overall formulation of a product.
