What happens if my song isn't added to the playlist?

This explains what happens when curators choose not to add songs to their playlist

Once all of the curators you pitched to have responded, the campaign has ended. Whilst we aren't able to guarantee placement - as this goes against Spotify's terms of service - we do guarantee that you will receive feedback from curators if your song isn't accepted.

We don't provide refunds for rejected submissions as curators are paid for their time to listen to and review the song. If the curator does decline to share your song then we do make sure they provide feedback as to why.

To improve your chances of being accepted next time, consider the following:

  • Take a look at the playlist tags and bio - here curators provide information about what they're looking for

  • Look at Sound Match - this explains how close of a match your track is to the other songs in the playlist

  • Listen to the playlist - Our algorithm is smart, but we always recommend taking a quick listen to make sure the vibe is right.

One final point to make. There is often limited space in the playlists and curators can only accept a certain percentages of songs they receive. Please don't be disheartened - some of the biggest artists in the world don't get added to playlists.
