Good etiquette helps create a positive and professional atmosphere between you and your mentor.
Following these guidelines ensures smoother communication and a better overall experience on UNI Learn.

1. Be Punctual

  • Join your Zoom session on time — ideally 2–3 minutes early.

  • If you’re running late, notify your mentor in advance.

2. Respect Agreed Schedules

  • Book sessions at times you can commit to.

  • Follow the mentor’s cancellation or rescheduling policy (see UNI Learn Policies).

3. Prepare Before Each Session

  • Review notes, homework, or project updates before joining.

  • Bring any materials needed for the day’s discussion.

4. Communicate Professionally

  • Use polite, respectful language in messages and during sessions.

  • Give constructive feedback and be open to receiving it.

5. Minimize Distractions

  • Choose a quiet location with a stable internet connection.

  • Mute notifications and avoid multitasking during lessons.

6. Respect Cultural Differences

  • Be mindful of different communication styles and traditions.

  • Ask if you’re unsure about etiquette in another culture.

💡 Tip: Mutual respect builds trust — and trust leads to better learning outcomes.
