Mentorship on UNI Learn is designed to be learner-led and goal-oriented.

1. Plan Your Session Before You Book

Before booking a mentor session, take a moment to think about what you want to achieve in this lesson.
It could be:

  • Sharing your recent progress

  • Asking questions about something that’s blocking you

  • Getting feedback on a specific piece of work

  • Exploring new directions in your learning

Whether big or small, having a clear idea in your head will make your session more productive.

2. Communicate With Your Mentor in Advance

To get the most out of your session:

  • Share your plan or focus for the lesson with your mentor beforehand

  • Let them know how they can help—for example, by explaining a concept, giving feedback, or helping you plan next steps

  • If you’re working on a Learning Project, share it with your mentor. This will help them clearly understand your path and prepare tailored support.

3. During the Session

  • Be open and specific about your needs and questions.

  • Feel free to ask for resources, materials, or professional opinions that could help you reach your goals.

  • Remember: It’s your learning, your path—the mentor is here to facilitate, not dictate, your journey.

4. After the Session

  • Review your notes and next steps while they’re fresh.

  • Update your Learning Project or personal plan with any new ideas or tasks.

  • Keep your mentor in the loop about your progress so future sessions can build on what you’ve already done.

💡 Tip: The more you prepare and communicate before your session, the more value you’ll get out of your mentorship time.
