Mentors on UNI Learn are more than teachers—they’re facilitators of self-driven learning.

1. The Profile We Look For

We welcome mentors from a wide range of backgrounds—academic, professional, creative, or personal growth—if you can:

  • Share expertise in your field with clarity and enthusiasm

  • Adapt to different learners’ goals and needs

  • Guide learners without relying solely on a fixed textbook or rigid syllabus

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully across cultures

  • Encourage curiosity, self-awareness, and independent thinking

2. Eligibility Criteria

To join UNI Learn as a mentor, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Have strong knowledge or skills in at least one subject area or domain

  • Be able to mentor in English or other languages supported on the platform

  • Have a stable internet connection, a reliable computer or tablet, a microphone, and access to Zoom

  • Follow our Mentor Code of Conduct at all times

3. What You’ll Do as a Mentor

On UNI Learn, mentorship is flexible—you can choose how you want to contribute:

1-on-1 or Small Group Sessions

  • Work directly with learners to help them reach their goals

  • Support them with resources, feedback, and professional insight

  • Use sessions for Q&A, guidance, brainstorming, or project check-ins

Learning Project Support

  • Help learners design or improve their Learning Projects

  • Suggest milestones, assessment criteria, and resources

  • Keep learning active and goal-focused

Creating Your Own Learning Projects (optional but encouraged)

  • Build projects in the Project Builder to share for free or sell on UNI Learn

  • Earn income from approved, published projects

4. Your Role in the UNI Learn Philosophy

We believe learning should be self-driven, learner-centered, and meaningful.
As a mentor, your role is to:

  • Facilitate the learner’s journey—not control it

  • Empower them to make decisions about their learning

  • Encourage persistence, agency, and reflection

💡 Tip: The more you collaborate with learners on their goals and projects, the more rewarding the mentorship will be—for both you and them.
