1. How Subscriptions Work
Monthly Renewal – Learners subscribe to a plan that automatically renews each month.
Weekly Lesson Plan:
1 lesson/week = 4 lessons per month
2 lessons/week = 8 lessons per month
Mid-Month Start – If a learner starts mid-month, the number of lessons is adjusted based on remaining full weeks.
Example: If subscribing to 2 lessons/week on Nov. 7 and 3 full weeks remain, the learner pays for 6 lessons.
2. Trial & Regular Lessons
Trial Lessons (25 minutes)
Designed for learners to meet you and sample your style.
Suggested Structure:
Build rapport (0–3 mins)
Assess learner’s level (3–8 mins) – use CEFR levels (A1–C2) where applicable
Set learning goals (8–15 mins)
Live activity (15–23 mins)
Feedback & next steps (23–25 mins)
Commission: 100% retained by UNI (mentors are not paid for trial lessons).
Regular Lessons
Adapt to learner needs and goals.
Provide feedback, assign optional homework, and adjust plans regularly.
If you cannot conduct a lesson due to special circumstances, report it to UNI Support.
3. Scheduling & Flexibility
Custom Scheduling – Learners can book individual lessons or set up recurring weekly sessions.
Rescheduling/Cancellations – Learners must cancel or reschedule at least 12 hours in advance to avoid charges.
If cancelled late, the lesson is still paid to you.
Communicate proactively with learners if you need to reschedule.
4. Extra Lessons
Learners can purchase extra lessons within their subscription period for more flexibility.
5. Cancelling Subscriptions
Learners can cancel anytime via their dashboard.
Refunds for unused lessons are issued as UNI credits.
Scheduled lessons in that subscription are cancelled automatically.
Pro Tip for Mentors: Suggest learners wait until after their last scheduled lesson before cancelling.
6. Lesson Confirmation & Payments
Learners confirm lessons after completion.
If they do not:
Reminder sent after 24 hours.
Auto-confirmation after 72 hours.
Payments are released to you after confirmation.
💡 Tip: Clear communication before and after booking increases learner satisfaction and retention.
