Here’s how to make every interaction productive and professional.

1. Keep All Communication on UNI Learn

  • Use the platform’s messaging system for all learner interactions.

  • This protects your privacy, keeps records for dispute resolution, and ensures you follow UNI Learn’s No Off-Platform Contact policy.

2. Confirm Plans Before Each Session

  • Send a short message before the session to confirm the time and agenda.

  • Ask the learner if there’s anything specific they want to focus on.

  • If they’re working on a Learning Project, review any updates in advance.

3. Be Responsive

  • Aim to reply to learner messages within 24 hours.

  • Even a quick acknowledgment helps build trust.

  • Use concise, clear language, especially if the learner’s first language isn’t yours.

4. Give Constructive Feedback

  • Offer feedback that’s specific, actionable, and encouraging.

  • Balance praise for progress with suggestions for improvement.

  • Tie feedback to the learner’s stated goals and milestones.

5. Keep Learners Engaged Between Sessions

  • Share optional practice activities or reflection questions.

  • Encourage them to update their Learning Project or progress notes.

  • Check in occasionally if there’s a long gap between lessons.

💡 Tip: Communication is part of the mentorship experience—learners who feel heard and supported are more likely to stay motivated and continue booking sessions with you.
