Student and staff ambassadors are at the heart of Unibuddy. Inviting them to create their Unibuddy profiles is the first step in giving prospective and incoming students authentic voices to connect with.
A well-crafted profile helps Ambassadors showcase their experiences, share insights, and start meaningful conversations that guide and inspire future students.
In order to add ambassadors, or Buddies, to create their profiles, log into your University Admin Dashboard and follow the steps below:
Click "Buddies" in the left-hand navigation menu.
Click "Invitations" in the sub menu.
Navigate to the "Staff" or "Student" tab at the top of the page.
On the right-hand side, enter the email address of the Ambassador you’d like to invite. You can invite multiple accounts at once using a CSV file for bulk uploading.
Click the "Add Email" button.
Click the "Invite" button.
Your Ambassadors and/or Staff will receive an email inviting them to sign up and create their Ambassador account.
Alternatively, you can upload a CSV file listing your ambassador email addresses by dragging the file into the dashed box, or clicking the box and selecting the file.
🖐 Ensure that the CSV file includes valid email addresses and matches the accepted format. This method is particularly useful for sending bulk invitations, saving time and effort.
👩🏽🔧 Troubleshooting Common Issues
Email Conflicts: If you encounter email conflicts between Prospect and Ambassador accounts, have the Ambassador contact support@unibuddy.com and ask for their student account to be deleted - freeing up their email address for an Ambassador profile.
Admin > Staff Ambassador: If you would like to set up a Staff Ambassador account, this must be on an email address that is not linked to a current Admin account. One email address = one unique user identity.
Spam Folder: Have Ambassadors check their spam folder if the invitation email isn’t received.
