How to verify your union:

Send us a letter from your Union leadership on a letterhead requesting verification. The letter should have the name and address of your local, as well as a signature. Also, your union's leadership should provide us with the name and email address of who will be the profile's administrator.

Verified Unions receive the following benefits:

  • Post political endorsements on your union profile

  • Union Leaders receive access to the Premium Dashboard to see who's trying to join your union and how members are interacting around the site (only your union leadership has access to this dashboard).

  • Unions can verify and manage members who sign up and exchange messages with them.

  • Unions can send private messages directly to membership using it's UnionBase profile.

  • Union leadership will be able to add its logo to the union profile.

  • UnionBase allows members to post on their own profile page privately so only other members of their union will see.

Why should I Verify My Union with UnionBase?

If  your Union verifies it’s UnionBase profile, it will increase your union's internet visibility as well as inspiring confidence for potential new members. Once verified, your profile will feature a tag notifying visitors that they’ve been verified with UnionBase.

What Happens When Union Members Verify With UnionBase?

When a union member is verified after creating a profile on the UnionBase platform, the Union they select to associate with will receive a notification that a member has requested verification. The union’s  administrator will verify that they are a member of the union in the UnionBase admin dashboard. Now, the member can post and see private verified messages from their union.
