Whilst you can create individual Sales Orders (SOs) directly in your account, go to the main menu and select Sales > Orders > Import/Export to create multiple Sales Orders at once, using a CSV template.
The Import Sales Order template can only be used to create new Parked status Sales Orders; it cannot be used to update or edit existing Sales Orders.
Prerequisites for importing Sales Quotes
To create a Sales Orders via CSV import, you first need to ensure the following conditions are met:
The order's customer must exist as a customer record.
The products and services being ordered exist as products in your inventory.
The Order Number being imported does not already exist, including for deleted Sales Orders.
Prefixes in your account's settings will not apply to Sales Orders created via import; the Order Number must be entered into the CSV template exactly as required. Custom Order Numbers, using alternative prefixes or formats, can therefore be used when importing Sales Orders.
Sales Order role permissions
Determine which users can import Sales Orders by enabling the "Import Sales Order" role permission. The user's role will also need to be enabled for "Sales Orders" if they need to make any further edits to the Sales Order after it has been imported.
For more details on the Import Sales Order template's available and required fields, see Import Sales Orders field definitions.
π€ Tip:
Review the Data Import Checklist and Troubleshooting Import Errors articles to help ensure a successful import.
