If your completed invoices from Shopify or Amazon orders aren't exporting to your integrated accounting provider, Xero or QuickBooks, this is likely due to your integration's "Accounting System Invoice" setting configuration.

How the Accounting System Invoice setting works

Invoices completed in Unleashed for Sales Orders imported from Shopify or Amazon will only attempt to export to Xero or QuickBooks based on whether the "Accounting System Invoice" setting is enabled in your eCommerce Hub's integration:

  • If "Accounting System Invoice" is enabled, invoices completed in Unleashed for Shopify or Amazon orders will export.

  • If "Accounting System Invoice" is disabled, invoices completed in Unleashed for Shopify or Amazon orders will not export.

Important: If you have integrated your Shopify or Amazon store with Xero or QuickBooks directly, we recommend disabling the "Accounting System Invoice" setting in your Unleashed configuration to avoid duplicate invoices.

If "Accounting System Invoice" is enabled but completed invoices for Shopify or Amazon orders are still not exporting, check your accounting integration's Connection Log for export errors and troubleshooting information.

Manage your "Accounting System Invoice" settings

Key points to remember:

  • Changes to an integration's "Accounting System Invoice" setting only affect invoices for orders imported after the change is saved.

  • If you have a direct integration between your eCommerce platform and Xero or QuickBooks, disable "Accounting System Invoice" to prevent duplicate invoices.

Shopify

To update the "Accounting System Invoice" setting in your Shopify integration:

  1. From Unleashed's main menu, go to eCommerce Hub > Shopify

  2. For the appropriate Shopify store, select Configure.

  3. In the Configuration tab, scroll to the "Accounting System Invoice" option.

  4. Use the toggle to either enable or disable the setting.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the Configuration tab and select Save Configuration.

Any invoices completed in Unleashed for Shopify orders that import after saving this setting will only export to Xero or QuickBooks if "Accounting System Invoice" is enabled.

Amazon

To update the "Accounting System Invoice" setting in your Amazon integration:

  1. From Unleashed's main menu, go to eCommerce Hub > Amazon.

  2. Select the appropriate Amazon store.

  3. In the Configuration tab, scroll to Products > Accounting System Invoice.

  4. Use the toggle to either enable or disable the setting.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the Configuration tab and select Save Configuration.

Any invoices completed in Unleashed for Amazon orders that import after saving this setting will only export to Xero or QuickBooks if "Accounting System Invoice" is enabled.
