Connecting Your ERP: Vertec, Assetmax, Abacus, and More

How Unplex connects to and writes back into your ERP — Vertec, Assetmax, Abacus, and how to request a new connector.

Written by Sabina Sokolowski

1. Overview

Unplex is built to sit on top of an existing ERP, not replace it. The ERP remains the system of record; Unplex is the agentic layer that reads context and writes results back — activities, time entries, matters, contacts, documents, and tasks — directly, with no export and no intermediate system.

2. Supported ERPs

ERP

Status

Vertec

Active, via the Vertec MCP server (test partner)

Assetmax

Active

Abacus

Active

Other ERPs

On request — scoped with the Unplex account team

3. Write-Back Model

Rather than exporting data out of the ERP into a separate AI tool, Unplex agents read ERP context directly, make a structured decision, and write the outcome back in. No side system exists that then requires reconciliation.

Time entries: booked directly from a voice note or text input.

Meeting notes: filed straight into the CRM record.

Matter or mandate records: opened and populated from an incoming email.

Documents and templates: saved back to the relevant client folder.

4. Permissions and Control

Every write operation into the ERP is governed by permission logic, produces an audit trail entry, and is reversible. Human-in-the-loop checkpoints can be configured per workflow step (see How Unplex Works: Assistants, Agents, and Workflows), so nothing writes to a live client record without the level of oversight the firm requires.

5. Setting Up a Connection

ERP connections are configured at the workspace level by an account Owner or Admin. Where an ERP is not listed as an integration option, the Unplex account team scopes and builds new connectors on customer demand.
