How to Sync the Unscripted Calendar With Your Device
Want to manage your scheduled photoshoots directly from your phone’s calendar? You can easily sync your Unscripted shoots to your Apple Calendar for smoother planning and at-a-glance access on your iPhone or iPad.
This feature is perfect for photographers who like to keep everything in one place — including their shoot schedule.
📌 Note: At this time, Unscripted only supports syncing with Apple Calendar.
Google Calendar integration is coming soon, and we can’t wait to make it even easier to stay organised across all devices!
How to Add a Photoshoot to Your Device Calendar
To sync a scheduled shoot to your mobile calendar, follow these steps:
Open the Unscripted app and navigate to My Shoots.
Select the photoshoot you want to add.
Tap Add to Calendar.
That’s it! Your shoot will now appear in your device’s default calendar app, complete with all the key details.
Disabling Calendar Sync
If you prefer not to have your booked shoots automatically added to your phone’s calendar, you can disable calendar synchronization for the Unscripted app. Follow these steps:
Open your device’s Settings.
Navigate to Privacy & Security.
Select Calendars.
Locate and select Unscripted from the list of apps.
Turn off Calendar access for the Unscripted app. This will stop new bookings from being added to your device’s calendar. If duplicate events have already been added, you can manually delete them from your calendar app.
A Quick Note on Client Booking Availability
While Unscripted currently doesn’t include a client-facing availability calendar, we know how important this feature is — and we're actively working on it! In the meantime, manually adding your shoots to your calendar is the best way to stay organised and up-to-date. If you need to block off additional dates when you are unavailable, you can create placeholder bookings for those dates. These placeholder bookings will prevent new clients from booking those dates through your calendar link, ensuring your availability is accurately reflected.
